Bloomsburg Field Hockey Defeats C.W. Post, 8-1

BLOOMSBURG- Jamie Vanartsdalen (Huntingdon Valley/Lower Moreland) and Amanda Riley (Tannersville/ Pocono Mountain East) scored two goals each to lead the Bloomsburg University field hockey team to a 8-1 win over the C.W. Post Pioneers on Saturday afternoon.

Scoring began early for the Huskies when Ashley Miller (Shermans Dale/ West Perry) scored a goal one minute and nine seconds into the game. The Huskies would go on to score three more goals in the opening 35 minutes of play.

Breanne Tobin (Perkasie/ Pennridge) opened the second half with a goal five minutes into play. Brieann Wolfe (Perkasie/ Pennridge) and Erin Hench (Loysville/ West Perry) also scored for the Huskies in the win.

The Bloomsburg defense was outstanding once again limiting the Pioneers to just two shots on goal.

The Huskies now 10-1 on the season will host Seton Hill on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
